Justin Clark
Justin Clark
Justin is a Colorado native, and has been a dedicated member of the Visit Aurora team. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado, and he has worked in a variety of roles bringing outdoor events and festivals, sports tournaments, and group and convention business to Aurora and Colorado. He has served as a board member on many non-profit and industry boards including the Colfax Marathon, Aurora Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Aurora, Downtown Aurora Visual Arts, Destination Colorado, Serving Up Hope, the Colorado Freedom Memorial, MPI Rocky Mountain Chapter, and MIC. Outside of work, Justin enjoys outdoor adventures, reading, cooking, woodworking, and taking care of his urban farm.

Sarah is an Experience Architect who has been working in the meetings industry for over 20 years to create dynamic audience experiences. Her vast knowledge of next-generation learning and facilitation skills help design dynamic meetings that guarantee more participation, opportunities for connecting and peer-to-peer interactions to deliver on the networking promise of live events.
Sarah is Vice President of Professional Connexity for Velvet Chainsaw Consulting helping organizations design and execute can’t miss meetings. She is a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) awarded by the National Speakers Association and a nationally recognized expert on networking and the creator of the NetWORTHing® process.
Sarah is a popular speaker, emcee and facilitator for audiences and organizations around the world.

Stephanie Sadri, CMP
Stephanie Sadri
Stephanie Sadri found her way into the hospitality industry early, starting in restaurants before discovering her true passion in events. Her first big leap came handling Catering Sales for Centerplate at Invesco Field at Mile High, where she not only hustled hard on Broncos game days but also planned hundreds of private events—including a little gathering you may have heard of: the Democratic National Convention.
From there, she expanded her expertise across a variety of iconic Denver venues including the Museum of Contemporary Art, The Oxford Hotel, and The Curtis. Her career has been defined by eclectic, well-rounded experience across all sides of the industry. That diverse background led her to a successful tenure as a Global Accounts Manager with HelmsBriscoe before stepping into her current role as Director of Meetings and Events for the American Craft Spirits Association.
A long-standing member of Meeting Professionals International, Stephanie served on the Rocky Mountain Chapter Board for nine years, including a term as President. She has been recognized throughout her career for her leadership and passion, earning honors such as Smart Meetings’ Planner of the Year & Industry Leader, MPI’s Rising Star Award, and induction into the Colorado Tourism Hall of Fame.

Sarah Griffin, CEM has more than 17 years of experience in the trade show and event industry. Having worked as an exhibitor and special event coordinator during and after college, followed by seven years working for GES, she joined Informa Markets in 2014. Since then, Sarah has held a variety of roles from managing the client services team in Boulder to being instrumental in the implementation of the in-house CEM program for the Learning and Performance Team. She’s currently the overall event manager for CPHI Americas, the premier pharma supply chain trade show and conference in the US. Sarah is an experienced people manager with a strong operational background and a passion for supporting others within the events industry.

Desiree Kelly, or Prez Dez (as she is known throughout the industry), was a molecular biologist when she decided to learn cake decorating to make her sister’s wedding cake. It turns out that she loved the artform, and used her MBA to open The Makery Cake Co (she’s president) shortly after graduation. She revived the local cake club, the Colorado and Wyoming chapter of the International Cake Exploration Society (COWYICES.org), started the Sweet Times in the Rockies Cake Show, has been featured on Food Network and numerous local news segments, in on her son’s Cub Scouts of America‘s parent committee, and currently finds herself President of our Greater Denver Chapter of the National Association of Catering and Events, runs the Choctoberfest Chocolate Cake Showdown, on the advisory board of The Emily Griffith Opportunity School’s Baking and Pastry Program and Emerge Wedding Collective, and has been featured in Colorado Meetings and Events Magazine (Page 56), and birthed two beautiful sons since she opened The Makery Cake Co in 2006. She’s crazy for 3D cakes and will make you a dabbing unicorn (or whatever you find fun) to help any party groove!

Genevieve Belou has spent her career supporting hotel teams through thoughtful sales and marketing leadership. She currently serves as Director of Sales & Marketing at Magnolia Hotel Denver, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, where she has been with CoralTree Hospitality since 2022. Genevieve has held leadership roles across hotels in Alabama and Colorado and is actively involved in the meetings and events industry, having served on the boards of MPI Rocky Mountain Chapter and HSMAI Greater Denver. She is passionate about mentoring emerging talent, building high-performing teams, and driving commercial strategy. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and exploring Colorado with her husband, Mark, and their dogs, Mack and Maddie.

Kelly Nelson is a dedicated hospitality professional with over a decade of experience in hotel sales and event management. As Sales Manager at the DoubleTree by Hilton Denver Tech Center, she leads group sales efforts for government and SMERF segments, with a focus on strategic revenue growth, client retention, and seamless event execution.
She is passionate about collaboration and professional development in the meetings industry and also serves as Treasurer for the SGMP Rocky Mountain Chapter. Kelly is excited to support MIC’s mission and contribute to the continued success of Colorado’s meetings and events community.

Eric Holmes is the Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing at The Jacquard Hotel & Rooftop in Denver, where he brings more than 20 years of sales experience and a passion for building meaningful relationships within the hospitality industry. Known for his collaborative approach and extensive network within Colorado's meetings and events community, Eric is dedicated to creating partnerships that strengthen organizations and the people behind them.
Serving as Director of Serving Up Hope on the MIC Executive Council isn't about title or recognition. Serving Up Hope is love in action. There is no greater privilege than helping people who will never know your name, knowing that the support of a caring community can make all the difference when it is needed most. It is a role that Eric is honored to serve with gratitude, humility, and a deep respect for the lives touched through Serving Up Hope.
In addition to his role with MIC, Eric serves as Director of Fundraising for MPI Rocky Mountain Chapter and has held numerous volunteer leadership positions throughout Colorado's meetings and events community. He was honored as MPI Rocky Mountain Chapter's Supplier of the Year in 2024 in recognition of his commitment to service and industry leadership.
Eric believes the hospitality industry is built on relationships. Whether building partnerships, mentoring emerging professionals, or leading fundraising efforts, he is committed to strengthening Colorado's meetings and events community through service, collaboration, and kindness.

Toby Reed
Toby Reed
Toby Reed is the Director of Sales at the Hilton Garden Inn & Homewood Suites at Briargate Colorado Springs. Having dedicated his entire life and career to the hospitality and recreation industries, Toby understands that long-term success is built entirely on deep-rooted relationships. For more than twenty years, he has been a driving force in the Colorado Springs market, leading sales, marketing, and public relations strategies for premier local properties including the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown, Hotel Elegante, and the Glen Eyrie Conference Center. Toby has a proven gift for aligning hotel strategies with regional institutions, successfully capturing prime group business from national ministries, non-profits, corporate accounts, Colorado College, Air Force Academy and US Olympics& Parolympic Committee (USOPC) and their National Governing Bodies (NGBs).
Toby’s unique career journey began after graduating from the University of Northern Colorado, where he transitioned into a historic role as the military's first Combat Afloat Recreation Director, managing morale and recreation programs directly living and traveling aboard Navy aircraft carriers.
This lifelong dedication to service and team leadership defines his approach today. An active community advocate, Toby works closely with Visit COS and local networking groups to promote Colorado Springs tourism while passionately coaching and mentoring sales staff to reach their ultimate professional goals.

Jeremy, Director of National Sales for the Rocky Mountain Region, has been at The Broadmoor since 1998. Prior to joining the team, Jeremy was a finance manager with a background as a hotel night auditor and in front desk management. Jeremy enjoys spending time outdoors doing all types of recreation including hiking, fishing, and camping. Jeremy has one golden retriever.

Danita Dempsey
Danita Dempsey
Danita brings over 20 years of municipal government experience and more than 35 years in the event industry to her role as Chief Cultural Officer for the Town of Avon. She began her career at the inaugural Denver Grand Prix, which launched a dynamic journey through large-scale, multi-day destination events and intimate, community-focused gatherings.
Known for leading with integrity, humility, and a deep commitment to service, Danita’s expertise spans all facets of event planning and cultural programming. A Colorado native and proud mother of three grown children living in the Vail Valley, she is also an active volunteer, currently serving on three nonprofit boards.

Lauren Ripko
Lauren Ripko
Lauren began her career in hospitality with Marriott before moving into sponsorship strategy and event marketing at an agency level, where she supported numerous high-profile clients and events including Ironman, Rocky Mountain Showdown, and the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. She was part of the founding team for the Denver Century Ride and helped bring the global pop-up dining phenomenon Dîner en Blanc to the Denver market.
Seventeen years ago, Lauren founded Studio Q Events, building a design-forward event production company that produced luxury weddings, large-scale festivals, civic celebrations, and food and wine events across Colorado. Her work increasingly focused on placemaking and economic development through events, including the creation of Meanwhile Block, a downtown Colorado Springs placemaking project designed to support small businesses and energize underutilized space.
Today, Lauren serves as Corporate Director of Sales for Imprint Hospitality, where she leads group and event strategy across a portfolio of boutique hotels. She continues to champion experiential design, partnership-driven growth, and the belief that hospitality spaces can be catalysts for meaningful connection and local impact.

Richelle Kemper is the Sr. Sales Manager at the Marriott Westminster, where she specializes in creating seamless, high-impact events and cultivating strong client and industry relationships. Known for her relationship building, collaborative efforts and amazing site visits, Richelle delivers memorable experiences that exceed expectations. Outside of work, she enjoys playing pickleball and discovering hidden gems through thrift shopping.

Lauren Lacy is the Director of Sales & Marketing at the historic Hotel Colorado, where timeless elegance meets Rocky Mountain adventure. With nearly two decades in the hospitality industry, Lauren’s career has taken her from catering and conference services to sales leadership roles in Vail, Telluride, Keystone, and Winter Park. She officially found her stride in hotel group sales in 2007 and hasn’t looked back since.
A true Colorado native, Lauren was raised skiing, hiking, fishing, and camping—and now shares her love of the outdoors with her two adventurous kiddos. When she’s not crafting unforgettable group experiences or championing her mountain town, you’ll find her soaking up live music, digging into her garden, or planning her next great getaway.
Lauren has been a proud member of Destination Colorado, MPI, CSAE, SGMP, CMCA, and PCMA. She currently serves on the executive team for Destination Colorado as Secretary and will step into the role of Incoming President in 2026. She’s passionate about championing Colorado as a premier destination and is thrilled to contribute her voice and vision to the Meetings Industry Council.

Meg is the National Sales Manager at The Steamboat Grand, where she combines her love for Steamboat with a passion for hospitality. A Colorado native, Meg began her career with Marriott International and held roles at Marriott properties in Denver, Chicago, Dallas, and Minneapolis. Eventually, the mountains called her home, and The Steamboat Grand proved to be the perfect place to bring together her deep-rooted love for Steamboat and her experience in hotel sales. She loves introducing meeting planners to this incredible destination. In her free time, you’ll find Meg mountain biking the local trails in the summer, skiing every chance she gets in the winter, and enjoying time with family and friends.

Danny Findley has over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He currently is the Event and Sales Specialist for Crestline Hotels and Resorts. Danny helps with group sales and marketing. He also has served in hospitality associations including Meeting Professionals International Rocky Mountain Chapter (MPIRMC), where he served on the Board of Directors as president, International Live Events Association, (ILEA) serving also as President on the Board of Directors, National Association of Catering and Events, (NACE), and now representing Global Business Travel Association (GBTA). His experience covers a wide variety of areas including off-site catering, special event venues, restaurants, destination management, non-profits, design and décor along with hotel sales. From corporate events, association planning to social events and conferences. He has done it all! Danny was born and raised in Colorado, he went to school in Chicago where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree and has traveled extensively. His passion is being creative in all things especially in special events! Creating the WOW factor is his joy!

From An Adult Probation and Parole officer to a Director of Sales in Hospitality at the University of Denver, pretty scary!!!!! Education Background, Social work and Criminal Law at Saint Louis University with an MSW. Worked as a PO in St. Louis County as well as a social worker in a minimum-security prison and specialized in Alcohol and drugs. Moved to Denver and worked in Probation and Parole until I had children. With the help of my husband started a DMC, became a caregiver for a parent and here I am at the University of Denver, 2006, teaching and selling at The Hospitality School for weddings, events and Corporate. I am still here having so much fun. Do not be too worried, I never carried a gun, even though they wanted me to! Trixie with a gun, serious problem!!!

With over 15 years of experience in the meetings, events, and experiential industries, he blends neuroscience, storytelling, and interactivity to help leaders grow through curiosity, reflection, and real-world insight.
He currently serves as Vice President of Client Experience at T3 Expo, where he partners with organizations to design intentional experiences, align strategy with execution, and foster environments that support collaboration, trust, and learning. His sessions challenge teams to rethink failure, strengthen psychological safety, and lead with intention—sparking deeper thinking and practical, actionable takeaways.
In recognition of his contributions to education and professional development, Matthew was honored as the 2025 Bob Dallmeyer Educator of the Year. He is also a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and a Certified in Exhibition Management Advanced Professional (CEM-AP), contributing to global education initiatives within the industry through facilitating CEM modules around the world.

Melissa Boggs is a keynote speaker with a deep love for creating connection through impactful events. She is most recognized for her talk, “From Cautious to Courageous: A Live Rollerskating Journey (that Will Move You!)”, a message she delivers through storytelling and roller-dance. She is host of the “Wild Hearts at Work'' podcast, an emcee, panel moderator, and workshop facilitator. She has been privileged to present domestically and internationally, from Vienna to San Diego.
An established executive with a background in leadership, business, and product development, Melissa is a former nonprofit board member, having served on the Board of Directors for both Scrum Alliance (as Co-CEO) and Agile Denver. Melissa is a Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC), Certified Team Coach (CTC), Dare to Lead Trained (DTL), Training from the Back of the Room Trained (TBR), Certified LeSS Practitioner (CLP), Kanban Management Professional (KMP I), and a Project Management Professional (PMP). She holds an MBA in IT Management and a B.S. in Information Technology from Western Governors University.

Those experiences shaped her deep appreciation for connection, community, and the role meaningful gatherings play in bringing people together.
Deseri is known for her thoughtful, collaborative approach and her ability to build genuine, trust-based partnerships with clients, planners, destinations, and industry partners. She is passionate about creating experiences that are not only successful, but intentional and people-centered.
She currently serves as President of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of PCMA and is deeply committed to giving back to the industry that has shaped her career, mentoring others, and supporting the continued growth of the meetings and events community.

Patricia Williams, CAE, CGMP
Patricia Williams serves as the Deputy Director for Major Cities Chiefs Association, a professional organization of police executives representing the largest cities in the United States and Canada.
Patricia is responsible for all aspects of conference management, grant coordination, project management, and assisting the Executive Director. She is detailed oriented and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed.
Patricia is an accomplished executive with over 25 years of administrative experience. She previously held administrative positions including Executive Assistant to the Salt Lake City Police Chief, as well as assisting Chief Executive Officers in other organizations. Patricia has extensive experience in project and assignment coordination.
Patricia is a graduate of Columbia College and recently attained the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the American Society of Association Executives. She serves as the President of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals and holds the Certified Government Meeting Professional (CGMP) designation.

Gysela Fillingham, CMP, DES is Sales Director, West Region & International at Visit Denver, The Convention & Visitors Bureau. She joined Visit Denver in 2003 and brings more than 20 years of experience in convention and destination sales. Gysela leads strategic sales initiatives across domestic and international markets and consistently drives citywide convention business to Denver. She is a past President of the PCMA Rocky Mountain Chapter and past Chair of the Meetings Industry Council.

Sean McNamara

As Associate Vice President of Convention Sales at Visit Denver, Sean leads group sales efforts for the city of Denver for both the Colorado Convention Center and hotels through the Denver Metro region and beyond. Prior to joining Visit Denver, Sean has been leading sales efforts for Denver hotels since 2016. He has held Director of Sales positions at Sheraton Denver Downtown and Hotel Clio in Cherry Creek. Before coming to Denver, Sean spent several years of his career on the Big Island of Hawaii where he was Director of Sales and Marketing at the Sheraton Kona Resort and Spa. Having been raised in Colorado and a graduate of University of Colorado at Boulder’s Leeds School of Business, Sean is thrilled to call Colorado home once again. In his free time, he enjoys exploring Colorado’s mountains with his three boys Connor, Liam and Aidan and is an avid musician and music fan.
