Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) was created to be an international forum for advocacy, awareness and celebration for the events industry, and why events mean business.
In 2020, GMID will look very different and we need your help in taking it virtual!
This year, the impacts of the Covid-19 virus have been felt around the world. No event has been left untouched, we are all reeling from the effects that this global pandemic has had on our industry and communities.
Based on advice from the World Health Organization (WHO) and government around the world, we are not encouraging live events for GMID. But we will still meet and come together – and we’re going to break the world record doing it!
You’re Invited to be part of this grassroots attempt at breaking the Guinness World Record for the largest audience for a virtual conference.

Knowing that I’m able to help people with their job search and with managing their careers brings me great satisfaction. Prior to taking on AH Jobs List as a full time endeavor, I had spent more than 20 years working in a variety of marketing, public relations and advertising roles. I was the Director of Communications at the Regional Transportation District and I also served as the press secretary for a United States Senator and for the Mayor of Denver. I led the marketing and advertising division at Frontier Airlines and also served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications for ARCADIS, U.S., a global environmental engineering firm based out Arnhem, the Netherlands. I am also a professional bassist and perform in a variety of jazz clubs and festivals throughout Colorado. I’m a proud third-generation Coloradoan and I live in Englewood, Colorado with my beautiful wife, Christine who is the CEO of the Denver Foundation. We have three children, Nick, Julia and Mateo. |

The Colorado Convention Center operates under the guidelines of ASM Global’s “Venue Shield” and has earned the GBAC STAR Facility accreditation for cleanliness and sanitation and the State of Colorado’s 5 Star Certification. The Center has upgraded processes and products to safely welcome guests back, with some of the primary focusses on air hygiene, reducing touch points, and thoroughly sanitizing the existing touch points.
